eBay Reino Unido exige devoluciones gratuitas en un plazo de 30 días para piezas y accesorios: lo que deben hacer los Vendedores

eBay UK Requires 30-Day Free Returns on Parts & Accessories
eBay UK now requires 30-day free returns on eligible Parts & Accessories listings. See what’s changing and how to update your eBay listings in M2E Pro.

Returns can be costly, so eBay is helping out by covering half the price of an eligible return label on change-of-mind returns. A few points to keep in mind:

  • Subsidy works only with an eBay return label, and the discount applies automatically once the listing qualifies.
  • The other half of the label cost is on you, along with any surcharge fees.
  • If no eBay label is available, you supply the return label.

Also, note that the subsidy won’t cover a buyer’s return who says the item wasn’t as described, a claim made through the eBay Money Back Guarantee, or a «doesn’t fit» return via eBay Assured Fit. Returns in all these cases still follow eBay’s existing policies.

Which Listings are Affected

The Easy & Free Returns policy covers a specific set of listings. To fall under it, your listing has to tick every box below:

  • Sold by a business seller
  • Both seller and buyer are based in the UK
  • Priced above £10, postage not counted
  • Listed as «New» or «New – other»
  • Sold at a fixed Buy It Now price
  • Falls within an affected Parts & Accessories category

What Categories are Excluded

Neither the free-returns rule nor the subsidy reaches the following listings:

  • Large, heavy items
  • Tyres, and tyre-and-wheel sets
  • Batteries and hazardous goods (lithium batteries, oils, and similar)
  • Listings offered as local collection / pick-up only
  • Anything shipped by freight
  • «Used»-condition items
  • Auction-format listings
  • Orders crossing borders (buyer or seller outside the UK)
  • Listings from non-business sellers

For the full list of excluded categories, refer to eBay Seller Centre.

What Happens If You Don’t Update Your Listings

Your listings are what’s at stake here. The good news is eBay is giving sellers time to adjust their return information. Here’s how the timeline works:

In June, existing non-compliant listings get a warning first, and eBay automatically adjusts them to meet the requirements. If a new listing doesn’t comply, eBay adjusts it or keeps it inactive until the seller changes the return details.

Starting in August, listings that still don’t comply will be blocked.

Basically, if you don’t update your return policies yourself by 8 June, eBay will do it for you, but on their terms, not yours.

How to Update Your P&A Listings in M2E Pro

If you sell on eBay using M2E Pro, it only takes a few steps to get your P&A listings compliant with the new update.

Go to eBay > Configuration > Policies and open the Return Policy assigned to your Parts & Accessories listings. Then adjust the return settings to meet the requirements:

  • Set the return period to 30 days or 60 days.
  • Set Return Shipping Will Be Paid By to Seller.
M2E Pro Update eBay UK Return Policy for Parts & Accessories Listings

After updating the Return Policy, make sure the change can be sent to eBay. To do this, check the Revise Rules in your Synchronization Policy and confirm that the Return option is enabled.

Once the policy is updated and synchronization is active, M2E Pro will revise the affected eBay listings with the new return settings.

Conclusion

If you sell parts and accessories on eBay UK, now is the time to check which of your listings fall under the new Easy & Free Returns policy and apply the updates. Acting before the deadline keeps your listings compliant and protects your visibility on the marketplace. It also ensures that the return settings reflect your choices, not automatic adjustments.
