Quantity Options

You have several options for setting product quantities on TikTok Shop:

  • Product Quantity: Matches the quantity in your Adobe Commerce inventory. For example, if you have 100 t-shirts in stock, the TikTok listing will show 100 available.
  • Custom Value: Allows you to specify a custom quantity for TikTok Shop. For instance, you might set a custom quantity of 50 for a limited edition jacket.
  • Magento Attribute: Uses quantity from a specific Magento Attribute. For example, if a “Warehouse Stock” attribute shows 200 jeans, this value will be used.
  • Quantity Percentage: Sets a percentage based on Product Quantity or Magento Attribute. For example, if you want to list 50% of your inventory, and you have 100 shirts, it will show 50 shirts available.
  • Minimum Quantity to Be Listed: Ensures items won’t be listed if stock falls below a certain minimum. For instance, if you set a minimum of 10, a dress won’t be listed if stock drops to 9.
  • Maximum Quantity to Be Listed: Limits the maximum number of items listed. For example, if you set a maximum of 20, only 20 of your 100 available sweaters will be listed on TikTok Shop.

Delivery 

Cash on Delivery allows customers to pay for their clothing items at the time of delivery using cash, check, or electronic payment instead of a credit card. For example, when purchasing a pair of jeans or a dress, the customer can pay the delivery person in cash or use an electronic payment method upon receiving the item. This option provides flexibility and convenience for those who prefer not to use credit cards.

Price 

In other words, when selling clothes, you can adjust the Price Change option to incorporate the shipping cost into the product price.

For example, if you’re listing a jacket for $50 and the shipping cost is $5, you can set the price to $55 to include shipping.

Product Price indicates that the TikTok Shop item price will be the same as the price listed in your Adobe Commerce store. For instance, if a dress is priced at $30 on Magento, it will also be $30 on TikTok Shop.

Using a Magento Attribute means the price is taken from a specific Magento Attribute with a numeric value. For example, if you have a “Seasonal Discount Price” attribute in Magento set to $25 for a pair of jeans, the TikTok Shop listing can use this value as the price.

Images

When listing clothing on TikTok Shop, you must choose a primary image that will attract potential buyers. For example, if you’re selling a summer dress, select a high-quality photo of the dress being worn. Additionally, you can decide whether to add small thumbnails below the main image, such as close-ups of the fabric or different angles of the dress. TikTok has specific requirements for images. Descriptions

When selling clothes, you can use the Magento Product Name or create a Custom Value that includes Magento Attributes. For the product description, you have the option to use either the Magento Product Description or the Product Short Description. Alternatively, you can create a customized description using a Custom Value with Magento Attributes or Image tags. Please note that if you are selling branded clothing, you must obtain official authorization from the brand. Only with this authorization can you create a custom description. 

In addition, the ability to list under authorized brands on TikTok Shop – both the platform’s built-in brands as well as the custom brands created by sellers. If their brand is one of the registered ones, M2E will map it.

Synchronization

You need to enable M2E TikTok Shop Listings Synchronization under TikTok Shop > Configuration > Settings > Synchronization. Without this, the rules set in the Synchronization Policy will not be applied.

Product Category

Sellers must select the correct category when listing their clothing items. For example, if you are listing a men’s shirt, it should be placed in the “Men’s Clothing” category, not “Women’s Clothing.” Similarly, a pair of children’s shoes should be listed under “Kids’ Shoes” rather than “Adult Footwear.” Choosing the wrong category will be considered a rule violation and could result in disciplinary actions.

Listing Multiple Products

Remember, that only one product can be included on a single detail page. Listing multiple products on one detail page is not allowed. For example, a jacket available in various materials or a sweater in multiple neck styles (such as V-neck, crewneck) should be listed on a single page with all variations available for selection. Listing these items separately for each variation is prohibited.

Selling Attributes

Stock Keeping Units, or SKUs, represent different versions of a single product, such as sizes, colors, or flavors, within one listing. These variations help customers select their preferred option. For example, a t-shirt available in multiple sizes (small, medium, large) and colors (red, blue, green) would have each size and color combination as separate SKUs. Similarly, a pair of jeans offered in different waist sizes and lengths, or a dress available in various patterns and fabrics, would each be represented by different SKUs.

Yes, you can register as a seller on TikTok Shop for free. But, there are standard transaction fees for each sale.

What Taxes Apply to Selling Clothes on TikTok Shop?

After an order is delivered, TikTok Shop automatically deducts a Marketplace Commission Fee from the final payout. This fee is charged to all sellers in the Philippines, based on the product’s price. The fee rate depends on the product’s cluster, category, and subcategory on TikTok Shop.

The commission fee is calculated based on the item price after deducting any seller discounts. Shipping fees and TikTok Shop platform discounts are not included in this calculation.

Starting June 1, 2024, TikTok Shop has increased the commission fees for selling various items, including clothing.
